Vincent Carton, who has been with Unilever for 14 years, joins ECR Europe in the position of Managing Director, taking over Xavier Hua. At Unilever Carton moved through a variety of roles starting in brand management and account management before moving up into sales director and sales operations director for Unilever Benelux. In between his two director roles Carton worked for almost seven years as an external lecturer teaching ‘retailing and e-commerce’ and ‘strategic & operational management’.

In the coming years Vincent Carton will be responsible for moving forward ECR on the four areas of its framework. The framework aims to help the industry transform the shopper experience, make the supply chain more efficient, work in a more sustainable way and develop the next generation of people.

Xavier Hua will stay within the ECR family as he will be keeping his responsibilities of ECR France Managing Director and will still be involved in the organisation of the ECR Europe conference in May in Brussels with the theme: « The future is bright ».
